Primary Retroperitoneal Papillary Cystadenocarcinoma

Abstract

|
Primary retroperitoneal adenocarcinoma of ovarian type is rare. They are usuallxr serous in type.
A 39-year-old woman with left retroperitoneal mass was explored. At laparotomy, a large cystic tumor, 12cm in the greatest diameter, was found in the left retroperitoneal space. Both ovaries were normal. Origination from the kidneys, adrenal and GI tract was also excluded.
This case appears to be that of a primary retroperitoneal papillary cysradenoca-cinoma of the ovarian type.
